Welcome to Ollmorcu Irish Wolfhounds
Our kennel Prefix is Gaelic meaning Stupendous Hound'
it is pronounced OL-MOR-KOO 

We have been ‘owned’ by this wonderful breed since 1980.
Their companionship is second to none ~ a faithful loving breed, whom I can not imagine living without.
Our hounds are our beloved  "kids" of which,
each & every one of them have given their all to us during their beautiful lives ~ we feel so blessed.
Spending our most enjoyable moments with them at home & enjoying walks & swims at our local lake.

 

During 1990-2008 we also owned & bred Bloodhounds.
Another wonderful breed that we loved immensely & enjoyed through all those years.
Enjoying much success in the show rings with a
Best in Show All Breeds & numerous Best in Group awards.
Another hound we placed was also a Best in Show All Breeds winner.
We bred 9 Champions during this time with the breed.

 

The Irish Wolfhound however, always had our hearts.
As far as showing goes, we are mighty proud of our Irish,
having owned 11 Champions to date, with 11 home bred
Champions, 6 owned by other people.

We have enjoyed much success in the show rings with
3 dual Best in Show & R/Best in Show Specialty wins,
 with two litter sisters in 2005 and then with their daughters
in 2008 & 2009….
We have had a total of 5 BEST IN SHOW Specialty wins
(2005,2007,2008,2009 & 2010)



We only show on occasional weekends
& only breed a litter every few years,
Having only bred 8 Irish Wolfhound litters to date, (our first in 1995),
We do put considerable time, thought & effort into our breeding plans.
and breed only when we wish to keep a puppy for ourselves 
to continue our “family lineage”.
